THE CONGRUENCY FACTOR
When God weighs your motives - good things happen!
Congruency means the quality of being in agreement, harmony and conformity with certain over-arching principles and guidelines. Our challenge and prerogative is to determine what standards we are to agree with through practical application in our day-to-day lives.
In the last program Kristen was able to host before illness forced him to suspend his radio engagement, he explored 'The Congruency Factor' with his listeners. Are we in harmony with God's perfect will? Do we conform - but using scales that society created, rather than our Creator? If you want your life to yield results that last, you need 'The Congruency Factor' as the guiding tenet. With it, change and growth are unavoidable. There's a price to pay, but the gain you'll enjoy by far outweighs the cost of commitment and discipline. By far!
The Scriptural reference applied was Proverbs 15:33 - 16:3 + v. 11 -- 'The fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor. To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the reply of the tongue. All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord. Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed. Honest scales and balances are from the Lord; all the weights in the bag are of his making.'
